We are the sole creators of the precious metal jewelry in which we set our enamels and precious/semi-precious stones. We have worked together as a husband-wife team in our Dripping Springs, Texas studio for sixteen years. We hand pick our stones from within and outside the U.S. The cloisonné jewelry is our latest signature work that we perfected and stylized over the past five years. Our designs are abstract colorful shapes that are inspired by late 19th-century modern art. We sketch our designs and then render them in vibrant enamels using the cloisonné technique. The process of our enameled jewelry involves many steps. Generally a nickel-sized piece takes about 8 hours from its beginning to completion. First, we shape the silver and texture it. We contour the silver cloisonné wires into a design and embed it into a base coat of enamel. Then we separately apply each color in the different sections. Sometimes we include an additive for texture, variety and uniqueness. We fire each generation of color in our kiln at 1500 degrees. Finally, we finish each piece into a distinct and colorful work of art to be worn as an adornment. Contact Information: Bailey's Jewelry
